Nursery:Welcome Miss Mikia! Happy fall! This month in the nursery, our babies will be learning all about the world around them. We will explore fall themes through touch, by bringing fall foliage into the classroom such as leaves, sticks, and flowers. Our babies on baby food will explore using taste by taste testing applesauce vs. apple puree. We will be doing many crafts, such as footprint art, using a stick to spread paint, and creating a friendship tree using leaf hand prints! We look forward to learning all about this season! We will take frequent buggy rides, so be sure to send in a jacket and hat everyday for the cool weather. Also feel free to bring in a hat and jacket that can be left in their cubbies!Take care!Toddlers: Wow did summer fly by… We spent a lot of time outside. We will do the same this fall. We will discuss falling leaves and how they change colors. Please make sure your child has a light jacket or sweater, along with several changes of clothes. (Sometimes we get very messy ;-))We have been working on our self help skills. It would be helpful to your child if you let them try to dress themselves and attempt to put on their own coat. We are always happy to assist as needed! Your child will get a real sense of pride being able to do things for his/herself.614045227330We have been setting out placemats for meals and passing out napkins. Your child has been cleaning their own plate after lunch (dumping), and washing their own faces and hands. This September, we will be discussing friendship and how to be a good friend. We will make “friendship” applesauce as we learn about apples. We will be doing a little science as we explore the inside of an apple- we will test it to see if it sinks or floats, and make a graph of our favorite flavors and least favorite flavors of apples.September 13th is Grandparents day- we will be painting pictures to give to Grandparents. If you have pictures of Grandparents and are able to share, it would be great for your child to tell their friends about them.I’m looking forward to learning and growing alongside your child. Thank you for sharing them with me,Miss Maryanne Preschool 1/Bloom Happy Birthday Evelyn! (19th)Happy September to all of my Bloom and Care-A-Lot families and preschoolers! I am so excited to return to school with my friends!!! This month (and every month in preschool!) will be packed full of fun and learning despite the differences we will experience. Some of us will only be attending school certain days, but Miss Alysia will continue to send activities and a morning meeting video on the days that your child is not attending Bloom. For the month of September our theme is “Beginning of the Year!” We will go over our rules, routines, and expectations, and get to know each other better. We will have a color of the week each week. Our first colors we will learn are: red, yellow, blue, and orange. Each week we will explore that week’s color, and list and find items that are that color in our environments around us (both at school and at home!). We also always have a question of the day, which you can participate in from school or home.?I would like to welcome McKenna Grace into our classroom :-) Happy September, and Happy back to school! I am so glad to see each and every smiling face!Miss Alysia: Bloom Special Education Preschool Teacher, Miss Robin: Teacher’s Aide Preschool 2Welcome to a new school year. We want to provide an atmosphere that will encourage your child’s positive self image, sense of independence, and social maturity. We’ve planned a whole variety of topics to trigger your child’s imagination and thinking skills. To learn through fun filled themes, hands on prospects, and play. This month’s themes will focus on ourselves, friends, family, and pre-writing skills. Please have your child wear sneakers for safety inside and outside. If your child is a napper, please supply a blanket/pillow, as cubby space is limited. Please also take blankets home at the end of the week to be washed. An extra change of clothes to be left in your child’s cubby and a water bottle is also recommended. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call. We look forward to spending time with your child and forming a partnership with you!Take Care, Miss Debbie School Age Welcome Miss Melissa! 11142031569056It was wonderful having so many friends attend Camp Care-A-Lot this summer! We enjoyed playing outside, learning about ourselves, each other and our community, and exploring nature with Mr. Billy! Now, we are back into school for a brand new year and are very excited to have so many friends here with us a few days a week! As we all know, we will be working on some independent learning, but we will also be breaking up the day by going outside, playing games, and making art! We will continue to assist students with remote learning as the school year continues a hybrid model of learning. Please be sure to clearly list the work that should be accomplished while here, and be sure to make any special notes necessary to your child’s learning! We look forward to Miss Melissa starting with us, and can’t wait to see that fun ways she helps our students during this unprecedented time. ................
