Job Description

Title: Marketing Representative/Graphic Designer

Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Position Purpose:

Design and prepare marketing materials and copy for various print materials like: posters, banners, newsletters, ads, etc. Provide same marketing look for Digital and Social Media space. Work with the email marketing, designing newsletters and updating databases. Maintain and update all websites, keeping info and banners current and be the backup for the MCIF system for data and reports. Participate in developing new promos and marketing plan. Assist Business Development Representative in maintaining marketing materials and giveaways to serve our SEGs.

Essential Duties:

1. Design and write copy for marketing materials including promotional and informational brochures, flyers, newsletters, advertisements, digital television ads, posters, banners, postcards, radio, digital platforms and more as needed.

2. Produces copy and artwork to support the Digital and Social Media channels. Backs up our Communication Specialist when needed with posting and coordinating information disseminated.

3. Oversee print management and meet all deadlines for design and production.

4. Assist with strategic planning of various promotions, events, programs and goals of the Credit Union.

5. Oversee the email marketing program with creation and posting all scheduled newsletters.

6. Assist with special events and community activities.

7. Oversee the Youth program, producing newsletters, putting together and implementing contest, prizes, etc.

8. Manage Mascot: includes persona, appearances with e-channels, print and digital/media support.

9. Responsible for keeping the marketing retention file, calendar and monthly promotional binder organized and up-to-date.

10. Be the back up for MCIF system.

11. Liaison between corporate office and branches to keep them updated with current marketing promotions, materials and supplies.

12. Manage and create fillable corporate forms in everyone drive, keep rate, fee and investment sheets up to date and distribute physically and digitally in a timely manner.

13. Oversee the CU logo clothing research, ordering, and distribution of apparel.

14. Back-up for writing statement messages, envelope imprints, on-hold phone scripts and receipt messages.

15. Update corporate web site and cudonline, designing banners and messages etc.

16. Support e-Commerce/Business Development areas by providing information and creative to support marketing-related needs.

17. Responsible for compliance: Truth in Savings Act, Truth in Lending Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering Act and ADA Website requirements plus any other legally required information as it applies to this position.

Other duties:

1. Negotiate pricing and discounts with vendors.

2. Assist with SEG visits and growth of new members

3. Assist with mailed welcome letter to new members.

4. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

|Education: |Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study preferred. Prefer |

| |emphasis in Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design or Marketing. |

|Work experience: |One year to three years of similar or related experience. Financial |

| |Institution, Graphic Design and Marketing background preferred. |

|Knowledge: |Knowledge of Microsoft Office, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Professional. |

| |Knowledge of Credit Union services and procedures preferred. HTML is preferred. |

|Skills and mental abilities: |Requires presentation skills, training skills, and good written and |

| |oral communication skills. Good organizational ability and creativity desired for promotional |

|(with or without accommodation) |activities. Must have legible handwriting. Tact and diplomacy, ability to maintain |

| |confidentiality and analytical ability required. Possess initiative to resolve problems with |

| |good judgment. Must be able to drive an automobile to assist with off site activities. |

|Material and equipment used: |PC, telephone/voice mail system, typewriter, fax machine, and photocopier. |

|Work environment: |Office environment, SEG businesses and automobile. |

|Physical activity and abilities: |Requires manual coordination to operate PC. Vision necessary to see |

| |and read screen and to complete forms. Ability to speak clearly in order |

|(with or without accommodation) |to communicate to answer phones and correspond with coworkers and |

| |members. Hearing in order to receive and reply to verbal |

| |communication. Ability to move to various locations within the building |

| |and to outside locations to assist with sign-ups and run errands. Position |

| |requires possession of driver’s license and vehicle. Position requires |

| |sitting and standing for long periods of time, stooping for files, climbing |

| |ladder to reach marketing materials, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Driver’s license and |

| |automobile required. |
