He wasn’t going to earn a basic salary anymore and was going to have to work solely on commission (whatever money he brought into the company he would get a percentage of that). When Claude said that wasn’t in the contract he signed they dismissed him and told him to leave immediately. Claude was good at fulfilling his responsibilities in the workplace.
