SPECIFICATIONS FOR 24 FT. BOW RIDER PATROL BOAT, SEATS AND TRAILER

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this specification is to establish purchasing criteria for a 24 foot minimum center line length walk-through windshield type bow rider inboard/outboard motor powered boat with transport trailer and accessories, for use by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

SCOPE:

The following specifications are intended to define the minimum level of quality, performance, and suitability for the intended purpose of a quantity of (1) boat with inboard/outboard motor, trailer equipment and non-standard seats {installed prior to delivery}. These specifications are meant to be met or exceeded. A boat offered by the bidder may contain standard equipment that is in addition to the basic equipment required in the specifications below, or which exceeds the basic equipment stated in the specifications below. The specifications are not meant to be restrictive as to brand name or manufacturer. All equipment bid may be the brand name and model, or shall be equivalent to brand names and/or any other specification elements using the Use of Brand Names clause (see General Terms and Conditions) in making an equivalence determination.

BIDDER REQUIREMENTS:

Bidders shall submit complete technical data of the product being offered. Bidder may also indicate comments or information in the lines to the right of specification items. The Commonwealth reserves the right to obtain technical data and to request clarification when deemed necessary. Failure on the part of the bidder to provide all requested documentation may be cause for rejection of the bid as non-responsive.

Bidders shall provide delivery for products offered, FOB destination. Deliver to Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, 1132 Thomas Jefferson Road, Forest, VA 24551-9223, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday thru Friday. Contact Captain Tony Fisher at (434) 525 -7522 not less than 48 hours prior to delivery. Provide delivery lead time after receipt of order (ARO).

The products offered in answer to this request for bid must be new and unused current production models of the equipment required. No prototype or demonstrator product will be accepted, and offering of such a product will be cause for bid rejection. Bidders must provide training to DGIF personnel containing clear instructions on operation, safety, and maintenance of the products provided.

All items in this specification must be bid as a complete package. Bids containing only selected elements of the entire specification will not be accepted.

Products provided must be warranted with the supplier’s best warranty offered, to provide no-cost protection to the Commonwealth for correction or replacement as needed for defects in manufacturing, assembly, or parts. Provide documentation of warranty for the products offered in answer to this invitation for bid.
