Famous for 1930's mural "The Fleet's In"which was

banned from Navy Hdq. because of homosexual

overtones Also did mural commemorating Herrin,

IL. mine strike in which strikers attacked

replacements. Cadmus' sister was married to the

President of the NYC Ballet, which allowed him

free access to backstage dressing rooms and

rehearsal halls from which he took many subjects

for his artwork.

Cantor (born ca 1950) is a NY artist who works as

a subway inspector. These items were part of her

show entitled "Upon Closer Inspection" at the New

York Transit Museum in 2006. "Bombadier" was

the signature piece for show publicity (see postcard

in file)

Creston did a series of paintings pertaining to the

early 2000's Brittany Coast oyster industry which hung in a Paris 393

seafood restaurant. They were so enjoyed by

patrons that the retaurant reproduced copies, such

as these litho's, as souveneirs.
