Color Guard Contract
1. I, __________________________ understand that as a member of the TX-20056 AFJROTC Color Guard, I must be available to attend practices and present the colors of our country throughout Denton County and elsewhere whenever called upon as a representative of Guyer High School. Failure on my part to meet performance requirements is grounds for dismissal from the color guard for the remainder of the semester, at a minimum.
2. I further understand that I must maintain satisfactory academic progress above and beyond what is required by Denton ISD for participation in extra-curricular events. Any failed subject during a grading period will result in dismissal until the following grading period, at a minimum.
3. I am aware of the requirement for team members to lead the way in adherence to standards of military dress and grooming, school appearance rules, and cadet honor code of conduct. Absolutely no lapses (in or out of uniform) in appearance or behavior will be tolerated. Any use of or possession of tobacco, alcohol or illegal substances will result in dismissal and full prosecution as allowed by Denton ISD policy.
4. I am also aware that transportation to color guard events is my personal responsibility, and normally will be provided by my parent/guardian. In the event a parent or guardian is not available to drive me to the performance, I have parental/guardian permission as signed below to ride with another cadet or AFJROTC instructor to said performance.
