Chief Deputy Treasurer’s Job DescriptionMission StatementIn the course of our obligation to collect moneys owed the county, be it taxes, payments of services or collection of fees, the Office of the Treasurer will respond to the concerns of the tax payer in such a manner that indicates acceptance and respect for the taxpayer. We will be diligent in our efforts to provide precise information and prompt service. Books will be kept that accurately reflect the current position of the county and the collection of taxes used to funds all county operations.As the sponsors of every service provided by the county or taxing districts, taxpayers deserve respect and every possible effort on our part to help them to either resolve their issues or at least to understand what options are available to them. This service will be done with a smile, and taxpayers will be treated with dignity.Responsibilities of DeputyMaintain all daily reports to accurately reflect business of the county.a. The goal is to be accurate, be clear, be complete and be transparent.Verifying dollar amounts on all money collected from all Lincoln County services that are routed through the Clerk’s office. Monitor that AC’s are numbered consecutively; if not, determine why and where.Assist the Treasurer in all daily tasks.General office duties to include typing, mailings and customer service.Perform duties of Treasurer when she is out of the office or otherwise unable to complete her tasks. ................
