Running OfficeWatch Call Accounting as a Windows Service
To run OfficeWatch as a service to ensure that OfficeWatch operates even when a Windows user is not logged in, please follow the steps below. OfficeWatch must be installed in the C:\OfficeWatch folder for the Windows service to operate. If it is not installed in this folder, you may simply move the OfficeWatch folder to the C: drive.
1) Visit tools and download “OfficeWatch Windows Service - Windows Service Application: OfficeWatchService.exe” to the C:\OfficeWatch folder.
2) Download “OfficeWatch Windows Service - Desktop Launcher: OfficeWatchDesktop.exe” to the C:\OfficeWatch folder.
3) Exit OfficeWatch and launch OfficeWatchDesktop.exe and select the “Install” menu and click Step 1 and Step 2 (see picture below). These 2 steps ensure OfficeWatch will run as a service every time the Windows PC restarts. If you no longer desire to run OfficeWatch as a service in the future, use the Uninstall menu.

4) OfficeWatch will now launch as a Windows service. To interact with OfficeWatch you must click the “Run OfficeWatch on Desktop” button. Never start OfficeWatch using any other shortcuts other than this button. You may exit this tool anytime but to interact with OfficeWatch, you must only bring it to the foreground mode using the desktop tool. You can verify that OfficeWatch is running at any time by launching the Windows Task Manager and searching for the existence of watch.exe.
