Database Administrator – SalesforceSeeking individual for part-time consultant position at Minnesota Literacy Council. The consultant will serve as the primary database administrator for Salesforce and related database functions as the literacy council continues the transition to Salesforce as its single CRM. Specific responsibilities of the Database Administrator include, but are not limited to:Collaborate with internal team of Salesforce users to identify needs and priorities. Implement database modifications such as creating objects, designing workflows and assisting with data migration and data integrity. Document changes and communicate with team. Consult with users on data analysis and assist with report-writing.Advise on security protocols and set up security profiles.Coordinate services between the literacy council and external vendors, including Salesforce consulting partner (Redpath), website developer, web hosting services and app vendors. Keep current with and advise on best practices for users groups, training and internal documentation. Consultants with the following qualifications are preferred for Database Administrator:2-3 years of experience with Salesforce, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Proficient in Salesforce in the areas of database architecture, data integrity, security and report-writing. Familiarity with a range of Salesforce apps and methods for reviewing, selecting, installing and managing apps. Commitment to learning about literacy council programs and work processes. Demonstrated success in problem-solving with databases. Excellent organizational skills and strong aptitude for detail-oriented work.Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.General computer proficiency, including MS Office programs, internet and mitment to literacy and social causes. The budgeted hourly consulting fee is in the range of $30-$60, depending upon qualifications. Salesforce needs will vary throughout the year; we estimate the time commitment to range from 5-15 hours/week. This role is funded for one year with a possibility of continuation beyond June 2017.
