TRAVEL BROCHURE OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

TRAVEL BROCHURE OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

The Anatomy Travel Agency have hired you to produce a 4-8 page brochure to advertise their luxury tour through the Human Digestive System. The owner of the agency, Ms Priscilla Pancreas, has informed you that, in order to be paid, you must highlight the trendy spots, the exciting adventures, and the imports and exports of the areas. For insurance considerations, you must also discreetly mention any possible dangers or special precautions that tourists might encounter in visiting the different areas in their Digestive System tour.

Your brochure must include the following:

• A map of the journey (diagram of the digestive system)

• A quick list of key highlights (eg 4 highlights)

• The order in which you will visit the various sites

• A description of the sights (anatomy) and the activities (what happens) in each area, as well as any special environmental conditions (eg acidity, gas, turbulence).

• The importance of neighbouring regions (job of the organs attached to the alimentary canal)

• The following vocabulary: digestion, salivary glands, teeth, oesophagus, stomach, duodenum, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, duodenum, small intestine, villi, large intestine, rectum, faeces, mucous, peristalsis, alimentary canal, hydrochloric acid, amylase, protease (pepsin), bile, lipase, acidic pH, neutral pH, glucose, carbohydrate, protein, amino acid, fatty acids (or lipids), enzymes, anus.

You may add any additional information.
