To support the Content and UX Officer with delivery of the content management plan. To support delivery of the UK-wide social media plan. To ensure that all digital content meets the needs of our audiences and objectives. Place in Organisation:The post holder will report to the Digital Marketing Officer.Key relationships:Internal:Digital Marketing OfficerContent and UX OfficerMarketing ManagerBrand and Marketing teamFundraising and Retail teamCommunications and marketing officers across SustransPolicy and media advisorsExternal:Suppliers of services and products to enable our digital activityKey responsibilities:Communication and marketing:To edit, proof read, approve and publish content for Sustrans’ websites.To curate and create content for our websites, articles and blogs.To work with the Brand and Marketing team to effectively manage Sustrans’ social media accounts. To analyse and report on Google Analytics to enable continual improvement to digital content and engagement.To work with colleagues in regional and national teams in reviewing, updating and evaluating website content.To act as a central point of contact for the Brand and Marketing team when Sustrans colleagues UK-wide are seeking advice and guidance.To keep up to date with digital and social media trends and be a keen advocate for digital across the organisation.To provide engagement, moderation and monitoring cover on our blogs and social channels as required.To support the delivery of digital elements (including email) of our consumer, business and influencing campaigns and communications.To support the Brand and Marketing team in delivering digital projects.To support and comply with the charity’s guidance on branding, tone of voice and key messages, positively contributing towards raising Sustrans’ profile. Business development:To contribute towards the development of new ideas and innovative strategies for product development, marketing, branding, or business opportunities.Training and personal development:To attend essential Sustrans training as required by the Charity.To ensure own personal development by working to objectives set as part of the Charity’s appraisal process.Health & safety, safeguarding and equality, diversity & inclusionTo support and comply with Sustrans’ policies for the management of Health and Safety.To support and comply with the Sustrans’ policies for the management of safeguarding, EDI and GDPR.Other:To perform any other duties consistent with the nature and grade of the role as agreed with the line manager.Working conditions:The post-holder will live close to the nominated office base although there may be opportunities to work from home at times. Overnight stays away from home may be necessary when participating in projects away from their designated base. Occasional weekend and late working may be required with time off in lieu. The post-holder must be prepared to walk, cycle or use public transport for the majority of work journeys.Special note:This job description does not form part of the contract of employment, but indicates how that contract should be performed.
