Our values:We are focused?.We care and respect.We find solutions and deliver outcomes.We are empowered and take ownership.We constantly learn and evolveJob purpose:We are looking for a Digital Officer to help us to optimise, develop and co-ordinate the day to day running of our websites and future digital products concentrating mostly on maintaining our current website, Knowledge Hub website and Disability smart benchmark website.Using creative and forward thinking and your passion for using digital tools you will help improve the lives of disabled people as employees, customers and stakeholders by maintaining and updating the websites and digital products through which we disseminate advice, information and assessment tools.This role works cross-functionally across our organisation with Marketing, Policy & Research, Services and Legal & Content teams.To be successful in the role you will have significant experience of co-ordinating websites and digital products in a similar size organisation. You are likely to have worked alongside digital marketers and across a full range of channels. You will be able to show how you’ve successfully engaged disabled users and turned insight into real actions and solutions.Key tasks and responsibilities:Co-ordinating the ongoing upgrade of our website, knowledge hub and Disability smart benchmark, including user testing. Be the main contact point for our external delivery agencies – development and accessibility.To have responsibility for and to maintain appropriate and relevant content on our current website and knowledge hub.Managing the client side of our digital projects across their lifecycle, from inception to launch and maintenance.Internal point of escalation for configuration issues and troubleshooting faults across our digital products and services. Managing supplier relationships with digital and testing agencies.Ensuring that the organisation adopts a best practice approach in meeting global Accessibility Standards.Explaining digital issues and topics to non-specialists and occasional direct contact with our Members and Partners to help resolve any technical queries.Other:Be familiar with and, at all times, adhere to Business Disability Forum’s policies and procedures as compiled in the employee handbook.All employees are also expected to promote and comply with Business Disability Forum’s policies on equality and diversity with specific reference to disability both in the delivery of services and treatment of others.Any other duty as may be assigned that is consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility. Adjustments will be made for all candidates throughout the recruitment process.ExperienceEssential:A proven background of delivering websites and digital products to a business audience and specifically including the needs of disabled people with a wide range of access requirements (A & I).Professional experience managing, updating and maintaining a Content Management System, particularly WordPress (A, I & T).Experience in monitoring and reporting through Google Analytics and other insights platforms (A & I).Experience of writing and editing web content for different audiences (A, I & T).Experience of managing digital enquiries and troubleshooting issues (A, I & T).Experience of analysing and interpreting digital data (A, I & T).Experience working on projects with external agencies (A & I).Experience of using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively (A & I).Experience of digital marketing, including SEO, social media and email marketing (A, I & T).Desirable:Experience of commissioning and implementing the recommendations of accessibility and usability testing.
