POSITION DESCRIPTION The Senior Director of Events and Operations is responsible for overseeing and building a talented group of skilled event directors and operations team providing thought, leadership, and direction for all events and operations. The Senior Director of Events and Operations also ensures excellent and successful execution of Pulse evangelistic campaigns and events both internationally and domestically. The Senior Director of Events and Operations is also responsible for overseeing the logistical execution of events designed to fulfill Pulse's mission to awaken culture to the reality of Jesus. This includes project management and oversight, strategic planning, collaboration with key department/initiative leaders, event directors training, and strong attention to detail resulting in the excellent execution of events.

CORE COMPETENCIES ? Excellent relationship and communication skills--able to effectively communicate with varying audiences (students, donors, staff, large groups, small groups, etc.) using a variety of formats and media ? Experience and skills in budget development, budget management, and strategic planning ? Skilled in fundraising for the work of evangelism ? Ability to cast vision to inspire and motivate ? Strong leadership and management skills ? Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent oral and written skills ? Minimum of 5 years of event direction and event operations experience ? Effective communication that is adaptive to all situations and fosters internal and external relationships ? Experience working with executive leaders within an organization--bringing logistical and operational direction to fulfill Pulse's vision and mission ? Proficient with office systems, project management platforms, and ability to learn new systems if needed

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Pulse Events

? Oversee all evangelistic event campaigns and events for Pulse ? Develop a strategy for evangelistic campaigns on campuses and in cities; ensuring the

vision of the executive leadership team is executed ? Plan all evangelistic event programming in collaboration with Nick Hall ? Source external vendors to execute production needs for all evangelistic events ? Working alongside the Ministry Partnership Director to support strategic planning efforts

which generate new partnership opportunities for Pulse ? Assist the Communications Director with ensuring all events have a robust

communications and marketing strategic plan ? Assist the Development department in creating sponsorship opportunities for

evangelistic events ? Cast vision to ensure the evangelistic purpose of events is clear to internal and external

audiences

? Oversee the matrix system creating teams, assigning responsibilities, and managing work direction to ensure successful event execution

? Oversee, train, and develop a team of event directors with established processes and protocols

? Demonstrate strong communication skills which strengthen the team and drive effective event operations

? Manage all event metrics report tracking for the organization ? Lead international event directors to plan successful campaigns in Latin America and

Eastern Europe

Pulse Operations ? Adopt and utilize project management online platforms that will allow the entire Operations Team to understand deliverables, planning, and workflow ? Collaborate with other department and strategic initiative leaders to determine how external interests and activities will fit into and support the event ? Research, contract, and oversee the execution of the procurement of vendors ? Ensure events are adequately insured according to venue/vendor agreements and within Pulse guidelines

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES ? A follower of Jesus, in agreement with the Pulse Statement of Faith, Mission, and Values ? Model Christian integrity, diligent in work, and persistent in pursuing and exceeding objectives ? Develop strong relationships and works in cooperation with other Pulse team members ? Possess a professional demeanor, approach, and behavior consistent with the standards contained in Pulse manuals (i.e., Employee Manual, Financial Management Policy, etc.) ? Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Pulse employee manual

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES ? Engage in personal and team developmental opportunities presented by Pulse Leadership ? Assist and perform any and all other duties as assigned ? Travel 25-40%
