MO-RANCH MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly is to foster growth in God through Jesus Christ

by sharing its unique living, learning, Christian environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

To enhance the unique mission, strengths, strategies and relationships of Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly by maintaining and growing a strong, vibrant brand through managing all forms of communication and marketing from Mo-Ranch to its various constituencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communications:

1. Responsible for day to day management, development and leadership of Marketing Communications & Social Media. Drive strategy, media mix, operations and monitoring of Mo-Ranch's presence and communications on an array of social media platforms – Mo-Ranch Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Yelp, etc….

2. Responsible for any external brand communications to consumers, stakeholders and potential consumers from marketing and other Mo-Ranch groups. Establish a system of reports and communications for all information developed by the marketing team to other internal teams and relevant stakeholders.

3. Responsible for developing Brand Standards and Identity documents, coordinate the appearance of all print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, quarterly newsletters.

Marketing:

4. Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for the organization; for strategic market planning in concert with Program, Outdoor Education Ministry and Sales teams; market research programs and control of the marketing budget.

5. Identify new target markets and develop a marketing and communications strategy to reach them.

6. Be the internal resource and expert on marketing strategies – particularly Word-Of-Mouth marketing tools and techniques.

7. Work with Mo-Ranch teams providing materials and support as needed to assist in creating and guiding their marketing efforts. Ensure articulation of organization’s desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the organization and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.

Organizational:

8. Insure all brand trademarks and web domains are registered and have up-to-date copyrights.

9. Manage relationships with advertising, public relations, marketing research and website host, promotional product suppliers, designers and printers

10. Organize and direct marketing and strategy meetings on a regular basis whereby strategy, promotion, new program development, public relations and communication (including online/social media) programs are reviewed.

11. Regularly report on marketing strategy and activities to management.

12. Lead projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.

13. This position requires regular and predictable attendance.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position is required

to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time

performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon

the particular requirements of the department and of Mo-Ranch. These

supportive functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Participates in special required functions and events on the ranch.

2. Participates in ranch-wide committees as appropriate.

3. Participates in community activities as appropriate.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

1. Proven marketing, brand and communications experience.

2. Current working knowledge of all social media channels.

3. Excellent verbal and communication skills.

4. Outstanding interpersonal and organization skills.

5. Detail oriented.

6. Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.

7. Ability to work independently and with a team.

8. Knowledge of and experience with Windows-based Office Suite computer programs.

9. Excellent math and negotiation skills.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

• College degree in marketing, business or advertising or minimum of 5 years work experience in a sales/marketing environment.

• MBA a plus.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Spanish a plus.

Experience

• Preference given to person with thorough knowledge of marketing, branding, social media, Word-Of-Mouth marketing and advertising.

• Preference given to person with knowledge of hospitality, camp and religious retreat sectors.

• Preference given to person with knowledge of Presbyterian Church (USA) governance and education system.

Physical

• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, visual acuity, and good speaking skills.

Grooming & Uniform

Employee must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and wear name tag while on duty.
