Simulates an office environment to reinforce and build software skills, improve Internet skills, and develop teamwork and critical-thinking skills. Class projects are constructed to replicate various tasks that arise within an office environment. The course also focuses on the integration of software programs.

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher).

• Utilize advanced Outlook Tools

• Create advanced databases

• Prepare marketing and administrative documents

• Create personnel documents

• Create promotional materials

• Prepare advertising materials using desktop publishing

• Create training presentations

• Manage payroll records and budgets

• Perform statistical analyses

• Enter, update, and format data in a database

• Integrate application software components with each other and with the Internet
