SITUATION

Current Situation LA County Fire:

Los Angeles County Fire Department continues to support the contingency Incident Action Plan (IAP) with California Department of Conservation ? Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, and Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors. A Contingency Area Evacuation Guidelines is in place for the well site and adjacent areas. In the unlikely event an evacuation order needs to be issued; we will make immediate notification to law enforcement to begin the evacuations for the impacted community.

Current Situation DOGGR:

The Department of Conservation's Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources has posted an update and fact sheet on its website:

Current Situation LA County Public Health:

Los Angeles County Department of Public Health continues to coordinate with UC on the development of a Community Health, Safety and Notification Plan. Public Health has also been reviewing available air monitoring data; methane readings remain well below safety levels of concern but are trending above background levels. As a result, Public Health has recommended that the Operator sample for other volatile organic gases during methane peaks and submit results to Public Health for review.

Current Situation Dept. of Beaches and Harbors :

The Department of Beaches and Harbors continues to work with MDR Hotels LLC to mitigate light and noise pollution at the site while crews work 24/7 to re-abandon the well.
