Installing the UAG components

1. Login to your Windows computer with an account that has administrator permissions. This accounts should have access to install software.

Open Internet Explorer 7x or higher and navigate to .

NOTE – If you have a Macintosh machine, please use Firefox.

2. On the right side of the page, you will see two links. New KDW Portal Instructions and New KDW Portal. Please download the instructions link and open the document, then click on the New KDW Portal link.

3. NOTE – If you have a Macintosh machine, please skip to the section Logging in to UAG.

4. If you have used previously, some communications software on your computer must be uninstalled before you can continue. This only occurs on the first use of the UAG portal. To uninstall the software as required, you must add the site to the pop-up blocker’s exceptions list.

5. Click the Yes button. A confirmation window is displayed.

6. Click the OK button. A window is displayed notifying you that all browser windows will be closed.

7. Click the OK button. All open browser windows are closed. A new window is opened.

8. If the UAG page cannot be found, close Internet Explorer, reopen it, and navigate to .

9. At this point, the previous communications software has been removed and you are ready to install the new communications software. This only occurs on the first use of the UAG portal. The Security Alert window is displayed to confirm that you wish to start the application.

10. Click the Trust this site check box.

11. Click the Always radio button. The installation and pop-up blocker override are complete.

12. Click the Trust button. The installation is complete and the login screen is displayed.

13. Complete steps 1-5 in the Logging in to UAG section.

To use Citrix, another piece of communications software must be installed. This only occurs on the first use of Citrix from the UAG portal.

14. Click the Citrix icon. A new window is opened and a confirmation window is displayed.

15. Click the OK button. A window is displayed notifying you that all browser windows will be closed.

16. Click the OK button. All open browser windows are closed. A new window is opened to the Application and Network Access Portal.

17. Click the Citrix icon. The Citrix launch page is opened in a new window. You may see the window flash to a login screen as your credentials are passed through. NOTE – If your machine needs the Citrix Plug-in software (version 12.0 or earlier), please download it from .

18. Click the Desktop icon. A Citrix window is opened and you may begin working.

At this point, the required software has been installed on your computer. You will not need to repeat these steps again. When you wish to use UAG again, simply follow the instructions in the Logging in to UAG and Logging out of UAG sections.

Logging in to UAG

1. NOTE – If you have a Macintosh machine, please use Firefox. Macintosh does not have access to Citrix. If you need to use Citrix, kindly use a Windows machine.

2. Open Internet Explorer.

20. Enter your user name in the User Name field.

21. Enter your password in the KelleyDrye Password field.

22. Click the Log On button. The Application and Network Access Portal page is displayed. It contains a list of applications.

23. Click the link for the application you wish to access. The application is opened in a new window and you may begin working.

Logging out of UAG

Once you have completed your work, you must log out of Citrix and UAG. Simply closing the windows does not log you out – the connection remains until it times out, tying up a license and limiting other users’ ability to log in.

1. Log out of any open application windows. The Application and Network Access Portal window is displayed.

24. Click the Log Off button in the upper-right corner of the page. You are logged out of the site.

Uninstalling the UAG components

1. Click the Start button.

25. Click the Settings item.

26. Click the Control Panel item.

27. Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon. The Add or Remove Programs window is displayed.

28. Click the Microsoft Forefront UAG endpoint components v4.0.0 item.

29. Click the Change/Remove button. The application is uninstalled.

30. Click the Close button. The uninstall is complete.

31. Close the Add or Remove Programs window.

32. Close the Control Panel window.
