Community Partners connected with CCS Engagement Team prior to district closure, recognized need to support students and families during crisis.

Community Partners shared appreciation for breadth of Columbus City Schools' response, coordination across departments and throughout city.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Department of Engagement will link, align, and grow our District's school, home, and community resources to maximize student achievement and growth.

DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS:

To provide equity and access to resources to address basic, educational, and social-emotional needs for students and families.

LINK: Family Resources Repository

Family Resources on includes contact info from more than 110 organizations and local businesses to assist students and families in easy-to-access format.

LINK: Volunteer/Donation Clearinghouse

More than 160 volunteers/organizations signed up since March14. ? Clearinghouse monitored daily, with direct communication to

every respondent by the Engagement team. ? Created new email address specifically for those who want to

help our students: Engage@columbus.k12.oh.us. ? More than 90 additional volunteers assisted with Elementary

Chromebook Distribution efforts.
