Columbus The Dream Lives - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Processional and Commemoration

Columbus, GA-- 1/18/2019 -- We would like to announce a few updates and changes to this year's

annual MLK Unity Processional and Commemoration scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2019. Due to the prediction of 100% chance of rain on Saturday, we have made a few changes and are confident that this year's event will continue to be just as exceptional as it has always been.

This year's event will be moved to the Columbus Civic Center located at 400 4th Street, Columbus, Georgia. As a result of the weather, we will not be able to hold some of our traditional activities such as the kids' zone and vendors, but all stage activities will still take place.

The doors for the event will open at 11:00AM and the MLK Commemoration begins on stage at 12:00PM noon. Due to this change in venue we will not have our processional, but all participants are encouraged to join us on the floor of the Civic Center in front of the stage to enjoy this year's festivities.
