LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - STUDENTS The Maryland State Board of Education has approved the HCPSS 2014?2015 Calendar Waiver request to waive one instructional day that was lost due to inclement weather. The last day for students is Friday, June 19, 2015. Please Note: All schools will be open for a full day on Wednesday, June 17th. All schools will close two hours early for students on Thursday, June 18th. All schools will close three hours early for students on Friday, June 19th (the students last day).

2015-16 STAFF CHANGES AT RBES As we approach the end of the school year we want to announce some staffing changes that we know will take place next year. We have two Running Brook staff members who are retiring at the end of the year. Those staff members are Lucille Butler (Grade 1 Teacher) and Debbie Gray (Reading Support Teacher). Their expertise and care for children will be greatly missed. I am sure you join us in wishing them much success! During the summer there are always more changes that take place and we will announce those, as well as the names of our new staff members, in our RBES Summer Newsletter.

IMPORTANT DATES The 2015-2016 HCPSS calendar can be found here: . One change in next year's calendar is that, due to Labor Day being so late, school starts for students two weeks before Labor Day. The first day for students is August 24th and Labor Day is September 7th. We know that sometimes families plan end of summer vacations for that second week before Labor Day. Please do not plan on vacationing that week this summer because your child will miss the first week of school. In addition, Running Brook's Back To School Nights have been set. Our K-2 Back To School Night will be on Tuesday, September 1st, and our Grade 3-5 Back To School Night will be on Wednesday, September 2nd.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Peyton at melissa_peyton@ or 410-313-6893. Our Spring Fair will be even bigger and better than last year!
