1. Were sign permits ever issued by DER for these signs? If so, there will be a metal tag on the sign. Provide the number from the tag on the sign. November 4, 2010 – It appears the existing sign is for Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins. Was a permit issued to reface the existing sign from what was approved under permit 1541-99-S (Dunkin’ Donuts) to what is out there now (Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins)? If a permit was issued, provide the permit number. February 9, 2011 – OK, the building sign meets the standards of the Central US 1 Corridor Sector Plan. The building sign is less than 10% of the front façade of the building.

2. It does not appear the freestanding sign was constructed in accordance with the approved detailed site plans. A revision to DSP-95038 will be required to change the sign since the size; color and wording are all changing from the previously approved sign permit. Contact Joe Dehuarte with Urban Design at 301-952-3772 to start this process. November 4, 2010 – Comment remains outstanding. A detail sheet demonstrating the signs and what they look like with specific wording, colors, height, size was approved as part of the detailed site plan approval. A revision to DSP-95038 will be required to add Baskin-Robbins to the signs and the additional colors for Baskin-Robins. Tempi February 9, 2011 – OK per Steve Adams with Urban Design. NOTE: This property is located in the Central US 1 Corridor Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment- Hollywood Commercial Center. A limited detailed site plan approval was required per record plat 160-019. A detail sheet with the signs was approved as part of the DSP. Since the requirement of the DSP was a plat condition and not for the use on the property or the zoning of the property, then the DSP is still required for this property.
