Salary Range 30,000 + health and dental (post-masters) 32,000 + health and dental (post-doctoral)

Position Description EMU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers two post-doctoral fellowship positions and three post-masters fellowship positions. These are 12-month positions starting on August 13, 2018. The fellowship provides an intensive clinical experience where fellows will be expected to carry a caseload of individual clients and provide several emergency walk-in hours during the course of the week. Fellows will have opportunities to provide outreach programs to the EMU community on mental health topics. In addition, post-doctoral fellows will be responsible for supervising a graduate student, present on various mental health topics during the training seminar series, and provide additional assistance with supervising trainees as determined by the director. All fellows will receive two hours of individual supervision for clinical cases and one hour of staff peer supervision. Post-doctoral fellows receive an additional hour for supervision of the fellow's supervision of his/her trainee. In terms of the client population seen at CAPS, there is significant diversity in terms of age, ethnicity, SES, and other social identities. Thus, candidates must value diversity and be able to be sensitive to diversity issues. Additionally, clinical work is usually conducted utilizing a short-term therapy model.
