Pixlr – Edit Custom Product Images



How to:

➢ Edit Vertical / Square images

➢ Edit Horizontal images

Uploading Vertical / Square Images (Tall)

1. Load your image, this will take you to Pixlr.

a. You will see your image

2. Go to the top menu, Click on Image > Click on Canvas

3. This will open a “Canvas size” Box

a. Anchor Setting: Click Center Box

b. Width Setting: Add 200 more pixels to existing size. (We want a wider background, than the image is tall so adjust the pixels as needed)

c. Click On OK

d. This will add background to your image, making it wider than it is tall.

4. Select the CROP TOOL from the Tools Menu, if not already chosen.

5. For your CROP TOOL Settings

a. Constraint: Select Output Size (This will automatically size image when cropped)

b. Width: 445

c. Height: 390

6. Starting at Top Left of image.

a. Click and Drag the Crop Tool across your image, ending at the bottom of image. (Release the click.)

b. This will display a grid over the image that was selected.

c. With your mouse, click the center of the grid, and move it to the center of your image.

i. You will see white background on both sides

7. Once you are happy with the selection, click on any other tool in the tools menu.

a. This will bring up a Confirm box.

b. Click on Yes. This will crop and resize your image all in one step.

8. Your image has now been resized to 445 X 390 and will display for you.

a. Preview your image and make any other adjustments you need.

b. A common adjustment you will need after cropping and resizing is Sharpening.

c. If you need to Sharpen your image, click on Filter > click on Sharpen

9. Once you are happy with your image, click on File > click on Save.

a. This will open a Save Image box.

b. Adjust the Quality of the image, so the image size is under 50K.

c. Click OK.

10. This will bring you back to eSAT, you will see your image. All that is left is to Click on Save.

a. This step will save the image, and we will automatically create and upload all additional images.

Uploading Horizontal Images (Wide)

1. Load your image, this will take you to Pixlr.

a. You will see your image

2. Go to the top menu, Click on Image > Click on Canvas
