In English this week your story is about the Minotaur! I hope you enjoy it. In Maths the focus is on measurements, including perimeter and area. Scholastic is a good website with fun activities to complete. It is American and so it is Grades not Year Groups. Have a look and see which activities suit you. The National Geographic has a children’s section where you can learn about different animals and different countries. It is your choice. Today you need to decide what you want Theseus to do and plan your letter to him. You must really appeal to Theseus and get him to see your point of view. You can decide how he looks but remember he is a monster with the body of a man and the head and tail of a bull. Once you have drawn him then write descriptive words and phrases around your page to describe what he looks like and what you think his personality is like. Physical Activity Try this Frozen workout. RE: Can I design my own place of worship?This week you are going to design your own place of worship. This can be based on a church or you can adapt it to your own ideas. What would you include inside?When designing your place of worship, you need to think of these questions:What is the shape of most churches and why are they shaped like this?What must a church have inside?Is there always only one altar?What are the different areas inside the church?If possible then see if you can make your design!FoundationSubjects: Can I make my own maze?This week you need to make your own maze. Hopefully, there will not be a Minotaur in the middle of your maze. You could make this on the computer, you could make it with cardboard that hides the different areas or you could use Lego. If you are feeling very adventurous you could make one in your house or garden using different obstacles. The point of the maze is that someone needs to get to the middle but that there are lots of paths that are dead ends. Remember to include these in your maze or it will be too easy for the person to find the middle. This is one online. You could also make one on the computer in paint. These are some examples.
