Responsibilities for EHS engineer

Execute, development/implementation/ maintenance of environmental and

safety management systems

Coordinates the day-to-day implementation of the site safety, industrial

hygiene and environmental policies and procedures

Develops and conducts periodic safety audits / assessments to evaluate

compliance to regulations and facility safety & environmental policies &

procedures

Assures contractor compliance with applicable safety and environmental

policies

Updates and maintains action items within SEPro (Safety and Environmental

Professional) database in areas of safety and environment, as determined by

the SEPro team

Responsible for development of safety and environmental training materials

Participates on ISO 14001 Environmental Management Team

Serving as the site focal point for multi-media environmental compliance

Interpret legislation and company Environmental, Health, and Safety policies

as assigned as Element Owner

Providing advice and whenever necessary hands on support to the subcontractors in such activities as Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment,

environmental monitoring and Incident Investigation and analysis

Qualifications for EHS engineer

Plus a minimum of 3 years of related Health/Safety Engineering experience

preferably from a contract manufacturer or electronics multinational company

Qualified Workplace Safety and Health Officer with a valid certificate

authorised under the Workplace Safety and Health Act by the Ministry of

Manpower in Singapore

Qualified Internal Lead Auditor as according to the OHSAS 18001 and

ISO14001 Standard requirement

Lead in cross functional teams for EHS issue resolution or for new

equipment/process approval

Supports corporate and insurance carrier studies
