Eid- ul- Adha 2016

Dear Parent/ Carers,

Assalaamu Alaikum (May Peace Be With You)

I am writing to confirm arrangements for the forthcoming Eid al Adha holidays.

School will be closed for two days to allow for all students, staff and their families to celebrate Eid. Therefore on Monday 12th September and Tuesday 13th September, Eden will be closed for Eid.

All students will be expected to return to school on Wednesday 14th September. Lessons will be as normal, so students should bring their stationery and books as usual.

In addition, please note that we will be holding an Eid Party on Friday 16th September – the day will be extended to 1pm.

• It will be a non-uniform day – students are expected to donate £1 to charity. Students should dress modestly and jewellery is not allowed

• The school will be holding a BBQ for all students to mark Eid al Adha and students will be participating in party games

• Students are encouraged to bring desserts, cakes and snacks to share with their form groups

• There will be normal lessons during the day, so students should bring their stationery and books as usual.

Please contact the school and ask to speak to your daughter’s Head of Year if you have any queries about the Eid holiday.

I would like to thank you for your continued support and ask for your special prayers for our school family and community during these days of Hajj.

Wassalaam

Yours sincerely
