Performance Tasks:

TASK

Congratulations! You have been commissioned by the History Channel to be a props finder for their upcoming series. The series will be dealing with the question-How did the religious beliefs of Ancient Egypt affect the people’s daily lives? As the head props person, your job is to investigate artifacts that deal with Egyptian religion and beliefs. You are then expected to re-create and compile these artifacts in a power- point presentation that the TV station can use in its series. For each artifact that you use in your presentation, you will need to include a short summary of the artifact including how and why the Egyptian people used it.

Keep in mind that there are many aspects of the religion that need to be included in your presentation. These areas may include aspects such as afterlife, pyramids, mummification and gods. The producers have requested that you represent all of these areas. You will need to analyze your artifacts to make certain that all areas are represented. The Internet and your text are great resources to get you started on your prop hunting.
