6th Grade Spelling/English/Reading Homework



Mrs. Shannon’s 6th Grade Word Study/English/Reading Homework

This homework format will stay the same each week all year. Your child may or may not have time to complete some or all of it in class-this will depend on our time constraints and their ability to use time wisely. I will check homework each day. I don’t want them to be overwhelmed with homework, but I do want them to learn how to be responsible for assignments as well as their own learning. This will hopefully help them throughout their life. My ultimate goal is to create independent thinkers and lifelong learners as well as to instill a love of reading in each child.

HOMEWORK FOR LIFE:

Find something useful to do for someone else.

Find something to admire in someone you don’t like.

Find something to celebrate, to laugh about.
