They become acquainted with channel management, pricing, product/service management, and promotion. Emphasis is on the exploration of feasible ideas of products/services, research procedures, business financing, marketing strategies, and access to resources for starting a small business. Students will be introduced to the Lean Canvas Business Model (LCBM) throughout the course. A performance based measurement will be used in this course to assess student learning. English language arts and social studies are reinforced. SuppliesNotebook or folder, Paper, Pens, Pencils, Highlighters, Flash drive (highly suggested)GradesTest/Projects/Notebook 60% Quizzes 25%Classwork/Participation 20% Each quarter’s average and the final exam are 20% of final course gradeClasswork assignments handed in late are half credit, whether 1 second late or 45 days late. Neither of these numbers is an exaggeration. I will allow plenty of time for adding name and date, etc., but not for scribbling hasty answers at the last second. At the other extreme, the 45-day window is just as true; I take late work all quarter long, right until 4 pm on the final day of the grading period. (Being late chops whatever grade you earned in half. You can receive no higher than a 50.)Q: I am in a pickle...do I turn in a classwork assignment on time but incomplete? Or finish it and hand it in late?A: If you are more than half done turn it in on time. (The highest grade a late assignment can earn is 50.)As per school policy, quizzes and tests can be made up for full credit. Quiz corrections are only offered if a report card F is imminent. You do not need to wait until interim day to get an itemized grade report. Student or parent, just ask and I will print one off—or email a pdf—any time during the year.Conduct PolicyVirtual Classroom Guidelines Make sure you are following the school dress code before signing on.
