Application Installation 1. Download the latest MATLAB installer from the UNSW IT website 2. Launch setup.exe 3. Click on `Advanced Options' then click on `I have a File Installation Key'

4. Enter File Installation Key MATLAB 2021b File Installation Key 27399-62609-33086-46068-31607-22311-54398-57860-04641-12121-29083-22694-11722-23294 -55989-06126-61486-57347-12501-21745-39581-28364-61317-10956-00112

5. Leave the `Select License File' blank 6. Select your destination folder, products and then options 7. Confirm selections to begin the installation process

License Server Activation Before launching MATLAB for the first time follow the below steps for license activation.

1. Click on the `Start Menu' then type `Environment Variables'. 2. Open `Edit the system environment variables' menu.

3. Click on `Environment Variables' button on the bottom right of the window.

4. Create a new `System Variable'

5. Enter in `Variable name' and `Variable value' as shown below.

Variable name: MLM_LICENSE_FILE Variable value: 27000@mathworks-1.lic.unsw.edu.au,27000@mathworks2.lic.unsw.edu.au,27000@mathworks-3.lic.unsw.edu.au 6. Click Okay, then launch MATLAB whilst ensuring to be connected to the UNSW VPN if outside the UNSW network.
