(Author’s Purpose and Questioning)
Why is Professor Umbridge so horrible to Harry?
Why does she make him serve detentions, when Malfoy gets away with everything?
Maybe J.K. Rowling’s purpose for putting Professor Umbridge in this story is to show that the Ministry of Magic is no longer on Harry’s side like it used to be. The evidence I have for this is that the Ministry tried to expel Harry from Hogwarts, and they said that they don’t believe him about what happened with the dementors. I haven’t reached the end of the story yet, but I think that maybe Professor Umbridge will soon realize that Harry is not lying and she is the crazy one.
