Writing the Body Paragraphs

[pic]

The purpose of the body paragraphs is

1) to provide two or three reasons that answer the essay question (Each reason will have its own paragraph.)

2) to provide some examples and details

3) to provide proof for the answer to the GED essay question

Support paragraphs begin with a topic sentence. This sentence is usually followed with several(2-5) sentences that provide support with examples and details. The support paragraph ends in a concluding sentence. This sentence is often started with a transition word like “so” “thus” “in conclusion”, etc.

Step 2: Write the second and third paragraphs. These are examples of support paragraphs.

I want to be remembered for my passion for work. I love my job because I get to teach interesting people each day. I learn from the students, 湡⁤桴⁥瑳摵湥獴氠慥湲映潲敭‮圠⁥慨敶愠氠瑯椠潣浭湯戠捥畡敳䤠愠灰潲捡⁨祭猠扵敪瑣眠瑩⁨楨桧攠灸捥慴楴湯⁳湡⁤⁡潬⁴景栠慥瑲‮潓琠楨⁳慰獳潩潣敭⁳桴潲杵⁨湩洠⁹獡楳湧敭瑮ⱳ愠摮猠敥湩⁧瑳摵湥獴氠慥湲椠⁳⁡畨敧爠睥牡⁤潦⁲and the students learn from me. We have a lot in common because I approach my subject with high expectations and a lot of heart. So this passion comes through in my assignments, and seeing students learn is a huge reward for my efforts.

I want to be remembered for my ability to laugh at life. Life can be difficult. We all have challenges to face and decisions to make. Humor is very helpful in handling stress so I try to work around it by laughing at my self, my life, and the world around me. Sometimes I just giggle to myself; at other times, I enjoy a big belly laugh. Thus, laughter is contagious, and it is central in my life.
