Main address

Insert the main contact address for the group

Committee members

List all the members of your committee. You can also include the date they joined and/or left the committee.

Bankers

Insert the name and address of your group’s bank.

Governance and management

You should include a sentence or two to explain how your group is managed. If there is a constitution (your rules), say so; and if possible the date it was agreed. You can also say something about how committee members are appointed.

Aims and objectives

You should state, briefly, the purpose of your group – you might take this from your constitution or put it in simpler words.

Summary of the main achievements during the period

This is the place to say something about what you have done in the past year or so. You need to think about who will read this document and what they might want to know. So if you are likely to want to raise funds, your potential funders might want to know quite a lot of detail.

Notes to the accounts

for the year ended Date

You may wish to add some notes to the accounts to give more information. Notes can be used to give more detail about some of the figures in the accounts, or they can give new information. We suggest you keep note 1 as it is written as it does explain the format of these accounts.

1. Receipts & payments accounts

Receipts and payments accounts are statements that summarise the movement of cash into and out of the organisation during the financial year. In this context “cash” includes cash equivalents, for example, bank accounts where cash can be readily withdrawn to pay for debts as they become due.

2. Grants & Donations

(if you received any grants or donations, it is worth listing these here)

£

Grants and donations

Nottingham City Council 0

Notts County Council 0

Mr Jones 0

Mrs Smith 0

Other donations 0

Total grants and donations 0

3. Committee members’ remuneration

If any committee member received any money, you should always give the details in a note – here is an example. It’s so important to be open about these things.

During this period, a total of £63 was reimbursed to one committee member for travel expenses incurred.
