Award Messages as of December 14, 2007

These messages are placed on ROAMESG and will appear on the award letter and the MIL. They default to a 30 day expiration date. This means that this message will appear as an active message on LoboWeb for one month, and will also go out on any award letter, or MIL, that is sent during that month. You can reduce this time frame by changing the date on ROAMESG.

11 - Your financial aid has been adjusted, or canceled, based on your remaining eligibility.

ACG - Your Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) award has been canceled, because you are not meeting the GPA, or credit hours, requirement.

APHL -Your Lottery Scholarship has been adjusted to reflect your actual tuition.

ATSE -This is an estimated award based on information received from UNM's Athletic Department. This estimated award will change to an actual award (or be canceled) when we receive more detailed information from the UNM Athletic Department.

BUDG - Your financial aid has been reduced because of a change in your expected cost of attendance.

CAMP - Your financial aid awards have been revised based on the UNM campus you are attending.

CPHL -Your Lottery Scholarship has been canceled because you are a graduate student.

DECL - Your financial aid has been canceled at your request.

EFC - Your awards have been adjusted due to a change in your Expected Family Contribution, on your FAFSA.

ENRS - Your financial aid award(s) are revised because of a change in your enrollment status.

ENRL - Your financial aid has been adjusted to reflect your actual enrollment status.

GRDA - Your financial aid for Spring semester, 2008 has been canceled because UNM's records indicate you graduated in December, 2007. If our records are incorrect, please contact us immediately.

INST - Your financial aid has been reduced or canceled because we received notification that you received financial aid for this academic year from another institution.

LCAN - Your Lottery Scholarship has been canceled for the 2006-2007 academic year due to a deficiency in your Spring 2006 semester.

LMAX - We processed your student loan for less than the amount requested because you reached your maximum eligibility for this academic year.

LOTS - Your Spring New Mexico Lottery Success Scholarship is canceled because you did not meet the minimum requirements for retaining the Scholarship.

NDEG - Your aid has been canceled. You are now showing admission as a non-degree student and are ineligible for aid previously awarded.

NODG - You are awarded financial aid as a non-degree student. Students in non-degree status who are taking prerequisites to be admitted to UNM are limited to a maximum of 12 consecutive months of financial aid.

OVER - One or more of your Financial Aid awards has been reduced because you were awarded funds in excess of your eligibility.

PLU (this will appear on the MIL, not the award letter) - You have requested a student loan in excess of your eligibility. Dependent students may borrow up to the following amounts (per academic year) depending on eligibility:

Freshman $2625

Sophomore $3500

Junior/Senior $5500

Before you may borrow in excess of those amounts, your parents must request a PLUS loan and be denied. PLUS loans are based on credit. You may get a PLUS loan application at:



PNTE - Your student loan(s) have been canceled because you did not submit promissory note(s).

RES - Your financial aid has been reduced because your residency status has changed from non-resident to resident.

TUIT - One of your tuition specific awards was reduced or canceled, as your tuition has been paid in full by another source.

YEAR - Your loans have been adjusted due to a change in your anticipated year in school, as reported on your FAFSA.
