PICTURES AND MAKE UPS

Panoramic, Academy & Large Group pictures will be taken on Tuesday, November 3rd. Underclassmen needing to retake or make up pictures should see Mrs. Forsythe in F501 to schedule an appointment.

What is a surrogate parent?

“…an individual appointed to act in the place of a parent in educational decision-making and in safeguarding a child’s rights under the [federal] Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and [state law].”

§ 39.0016(1)(c), Fla. Stat.

Who needs a surrogate parent?

A student with a disability or a student who is suspected of having a disability, needs a surrogate parent when the natural parent or guardian is unknown, or the whereabouts of the natural parent or guardian cannot be determined, or the child is a ward of the state or ward of the court under the laws of the State of Florida.

AICE Advisory Board creates and organizes activities for AICE students at SAHS, such as college tours and other fun events for AICE students to get to know one another better, plus support various community service organizations and host fundraisers to help provide financial support for the academic needs of AICE students.

Memberships: All AICE students, grades 9-12 are welcome. AICE parents & faculty are encouraged to join too!

Hey!  Want to join a fun club?  Come to the ASL Club meeting – meets every other Friday of the month at 8:45 a.m. in B245 (Ms. Hurd). The next meeting will be November 6th. Dues are $8.00

Spanish Club (SEE MANDATORY MEETING INFO AT END OF CLUB SECTION) meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4-5:00 p.m. in B-239. Next meeting is October 27th.

The Taking a Stand Club meets every Wednesday morning at

8:30 a.m. in room B238. Come listen to former bullies and bullied, but don’t feel that you need share yourself.  

The High Q team is practicing on Mondays in the Media Center from 4-4:30 p.m.

FRENCH CLUB is BACK! They meet every other Tuesday. The next

meeting will be Tuesday, October 27th at 8:30 a.m. in room B238.

Recycling Club is still looking for anyone willing to help keep St.

Augustine green.  If you are interested in getting community service hours,

then see Mr. Sohn after school in D-413 any and or every Monday.

Astronomy Club meets every other Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. in room

F602. The next meeting is October 21st.

Interact Club meets the 1st Wednesday of every month at 8:40 am in

F201.

Best Buddies meet every other Thursday at 8:45 am in B238. The next

meeting is October 29th .

EQUALITY CLUB meets every other Thursday starting October 15th

In the event that a student must return to school independently for reasons of health, accident, failure to conform to rules established by the teacher in charge, etc., we agree to accept full responsibility for and to pay for the cost of medical care, transportation and other incidental expenses.
