Program: Title I
Federal Paid Grants - $30,884,279 Federal Paid Admin - $493,665
Purpose:
The purpose of Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act is to
provide financial assistance to state and local educational agencies to meet the
needs of educationally deprived, at-risk children identified as failing or most at risk
of failing the state¡¯s challenging performance standards.
Beneficiaries:
North Dakota students and educators (administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals)
benefit from these funds which are used by districts to provide services to at-risk
students struggling in school, as well as provide high quality professional
development to educators.

Program: Title I Part C
Federal Paid Grants ¨C $222,911 Federal Paid Admin - $77,002
Purpose:
The purpose of the Migrant Education Program is to ensure that all migrant
students reach challenging academic standards and graduate with a high school
diploma (or complete a GED) that prepares them for responsible citizenship,
further learning, and productive employment.
Beneficiaries:
North Dakota students, administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals benefit
from these funds which are used by districts to pay teachers to provide
instruction to Migrant Students.
Administrative Costs:
The law states 0% however, adjustments were made to allow states to withhold
minimum amount of funds needed to administer this program.
Application Process:
