|ROLE PURPOSE: |

| |

|As advocacy finance and award manager, you will: |

|support the transition of advocacy offices (NY, Brussels, Geneva and Addis Ababa) on all finance and awards activities |

|develop finance and awards processes and procedures for the new advocacy offices, determining interfaces between the offices and SCI centre |

|in London |

|post transition, support the advocacy offices to complete all operational finance and awards activities |

|Provision off management reports and analysis |

|SCOPE OF ROLE: |

|Reports to: Manager – Management Accounts |

|KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY : |

|support the advocacy offices through transition to complete activities including but not limited to: |

|overseeing asset transfer / management |

|developing SCI scheme of delegation |

|conducting non-systems finance training |

|creating standing data required for our finance system (Agresso) e.g. users, tax rules, management accounting structure |

|creating awards structure for Agresso and working alongside members to complete and finalise fund summaries for existing awards |

|determine for each office the finance and awards procedures that are required |

|determine for each office the finance / awards activities that can be completed within the staffing at the advocacy office, and those |

|activities that will be completed from SCI London |

|support the advocacy offices as required in activities including but not limited to: |

|loading budgets into Agresso |

|loading transactional information into Agresso |

|providing management reports on a monthly basis |

|ensuring opportunities are logged and approved through AMS |

|supporting the award management cycle from award kick off meetings to donor reporting and award close out |

|develop additional toolkits to aid advocacy offices in the completion of finance and awards activities |

|Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACMA, ACA) |

|EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS |

|strong analytical skills – the ability to analyse complex financial data and design and produce effective management information. |

|excellent IT literacy including expertise in spreadsheet modelling |

|strong time management skills with an ability to plan ahead, anticipate requirements, problems and obstacles, and an ability to juggle |

|competing priorities successfully, and to work to tight deadlines |

|strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance professionals |

|conscientious and customer focussed, providing strong business partnering to the Directors of Advocacy. |
