Financial Aid Office2016 Summer Financial Aid ApplicationEligibility InformationThe following criteria apply to summer aid eligibility:Loan applicants must have remaining eligibility for the current academic year and must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for summer to be eligible to receive a loan.Pell grant applicants must have remaining eligibility for the current academic year.Students must be enrolled in a degree program at RSU. Students seeking degrees at other institutions and non-degree seeking students are not eligible for aid.Only RSU credit hours will be considered in determining eligibility for the summer term.Students must be making satisfactory academic progress toward a degree (RSU’s policy is available on the RSU website: ). If you are currently on financial aid warning or probation, your eligibility for summer financial aid will be determined after your spring semester progress has been assessed.For priority processing, students must file this form with the Office of Financial Aid by April 15th (including students whose courses start after June 1st.). For timely receipt of financial aid mailings students should verify their email and USPS mailing address with the Registrar’s Office or on the Hillcat Hub. This also applies to refunds with the Bursar’s Office.Students must have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2015-2016 academic year, completed verification if applicable, have remaining eligibility, and have submitted the RSU Summer Financial Aid Application. Students are responsible for payment of educational expenses (including late fees) until aid is disbursed. If the RSU Financial Aid Office receives information from the Department of Education indicating that you have exceeded your annual maximum in aid, including aid received at another institution, you will be required to return all or a portion of the aid received from RSU.RSU reserves the right to adjust your awards.Payment of financial aid is based on attendance and your enrollment status. For most financial aid programs you must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours for undergraduate students).
