The Bank recognizes that people are the most important asset and that continuous people development is the key to long-term success of the Bank. The 6-12months comprehensive Graduate Trainee Program (“GTP”) is structured for high caliber fresh graduates who are committed to take the exciting and challenging career in the banking industry and grow with the Bank.

 

The GTP is a combination of both internal and external trainings. It aims to provide the trainees with general technical and contextual knowledge in the banking industry. Internal training would be a combination of on-the-job and classroom training. Externally, classroom / seminar training will be provided to strengthen the trainees’ understanding of the current market development of relevant issues and to provide a chance for the trainees to build an external network in the industry.

 

The GTP 2012 will be categorized into 3 different streams/functional areas of the Bank.  The 3 functional areas are: 1) Corporate Banking Business, 2) Japanese Corporate Business, and 3) Operation & Administration.  Please quote your preference on the application letter.

 

The applicants should be current year graduates of The University in business-related or Japanese-related discipline and possess the followings:-

• Good academic performance;

• Good interpersonal / communication skills;

• Good command of both spoken and written English, Putonghua and Chinese;

• Good command of Japanese Language – Passed Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1 will be definitely an advantage;

• Innovative and self-motivated;

• Be analytical;

• Be a good team player;

• Good awareness of the global and regional economic development;

• Committed to develop his / her career in the banking industry.
