Suniva develops, manufactures and markets its ARTisun series high-efficiency silicon photovoltaic (PV) cells for clean, earth-friendly power generation and is dedicated to driving down the cost per watt of solar generated power. Summary:

This Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing financial analyses and forecasts for use in the development of financial and operational business decisions. Additional responsibilities include: financial reporting and analysis, creating financial models, and supporting user group for internal planning / forecasting as well as the budget process. Performs the quantitative analysis required for the strategic planning of the company, prepares reports for management, the Board of Directors, the shareholders, etc. Suniva offers a competitive salary & benefits package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

▪ Compiles and analyzes financial information for the organization.

▪ Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.

▪ Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.

▪ Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.

▪ Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.

▪ Conducts special financial studies and coordinates with other departments in the preparation of statistical studies.

▪ Performs internal and external research and analyzes issues related to specific financial metrics to ensure competitiveness.

▪ Compiles or prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.

▪ Recommends changes in financial analysis methods or procedures.

▪ Controls the development of the annual budget.

Qualification:

Education & Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related filed is required (an advanced degree in finance is preferred) and 5 years experience working specifically in a quantitatively oriented function or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in the Manufacturing or Engineering Industry is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas and graphing) and Word.

Language/Presentation Skills:

Ability to speak, read, and writes English. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets financial trends. Ability to create reports, spreadsheets and business correspondence. Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from Executives.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret and calculate complex formulas. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and volume. Ability to apply concepts of advanced accounting.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.

Other Skills & Abilities:

Good knowledge of office practices and procedures. Skill and ability to organize and prioritize work. Skill and ability to meet deadlines and operate office equipment. Skill and ability to use Word, Excel and other company software.
