a. Tony from SGA

b. Joanna Hunter a PHD student focusing on multicultural studies and will be looking at one sorority and fraternity in particular.

c. Orientation leaders dropped off flyers and posters to hand out and give to members. Applications go out on Friday.

d. Beyond Boarders is a short-term exchange program. It’s an all-inclusive trip. Applications can be picked up in the International Center.

i. We are still trying to figure out what we can and cannot do on campus, as well as off campus.

ii. Tomorrow, September 15, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the senate chambers there will be a “Get Recognized” workshop.

ii. Fundraiser/Community Service

i. We need to do community service off campus. Ideas are welcome.

ii. Every organization should go through the packets and choose 3 events that they would be interested in. Bring your choices to the next voting council.

iii. Spring Week

i. We have already started planning for our spring week.

ii. Bring your ideas to the table as soon as possible.

iv. Proposal

i. We have two proposals. “Leave Your Mark” is a way for students to help paint the mural at Guthries. Dates are September 17, September 18, September 27, October 4, and October 5. The motion passes for Friday, September 18 from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Each organization must be present for at least an hour, with half of their membership.

ii. The “Stop Child Trafficking” proposal has been tabled due to the fact that it is during MGC organizations

i. We do have a chief justice, Erica Vasquez, and she will be representing our council.

IV. Announcements

i. Sigma Lambda Gamma/Kappa Delta Chi Event/Alpha Kappa Delta Phi at 2 p.m. on October 3. The event is a breast cancer function.

b. RSO training tomorrow in Senate Chambers at 7:30 p.m. All chapters need to send a representative

c. The Priority Deadline to be an RSO is 9/23. The deadline is 9/30

d. Rosters are due to GL on 9/30. No exceptions

e. Intake forms are due 9/30

f. The Panhellinic Council is holding Womens Week October 5-10. Please contact Ali Jimenez for more information arj08c@fsu.edu

g. October 9 will be the NPHC stroll off. Location TBA

h. Theta Nu Xi week is next week. See sisters for flyers and more information.

i. Thursday September 17, 2009 in the University Ballrooms at 7 p.m. Lambda Theta Phi and Sigma Beta Rho will be having a seminar.

j. Lambda Tau Omega will be having a workout seminar in Sally hall at 7:16 p.m. this Thursday at September 17, 2009.
