Requirements for Ordering
Maine Immunization Program (MIP) providers must meet the minimum requirements for ordering influenza vaccine:
? Approved 2021 Provider Agreement ? Current ImmPact User Agreement ? Current submission of temperature logs ? Current reconciliation of inventory

Eligibility
MIP will be supplying seasonal influenza vaccine for all the following groups: ? VFC eligible children 6mo-18yr ? Privately insured Maine residents 6mo-18yr
MIP will NOT be offering seasonal influenza vaccine to the following: ? Privately insured out of state residents 6mo-18yr ? Adults 19+

Seasonal Influenza Schedule
Annual influenza vaccination is recommended for persons 6 months of age and older. Some children will need 2 doses of influenza vaccine in the same season.
2 Doses of influenza vaccine:
? Children 6mo-8yrs who have never received seasonal influenza vaccine or for whom vaccination history is unknown
? Children 6mo-8yrs of age who have not received at least 2 doses of seasonal influenza vaccine before July 1, 2021
1 Dose of influenza vaccine:
? Children 6mo-8yrs who have received at least 2 doses of seasonal influenza vaccine before July 1, 2021
? Children 9 years of age and older

Vaccine Presentations
MIP will be offering the following influenza vaccine presentations for the 2021-2022 season:
Inactivated Influenza
? FluLaval Quad ? 0.50mL prefilled syringe ? Fluzone Quad ? 0.50mL prefilled syringe
6mo-18yrs 0.50mL regardless of age (includes 6-35mo) 1000 maximum orders

Live, attenuated vaccine:
? FluMist ? Nasal Sprayer
Healthy 2-18yr 200 maximum orders Ensure 28-day interval is met between live vaccines if not administered on the same day
