Position Title: Food & Beverage Manager
Immediate Supervisor: General Manager

Position Summary:
Manage the Food & Beverage function within the hotel in order to maintain high standards of quality, service and merchandising to maximize profits.
Essential Functions:
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the selection, hiring, training and development of team members, oversight of departmental administration, and implementation of effective control of inventory and labor costs.
• Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage sub-departments, i.e., room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, stewards, etc.
• Acts as Manager on Duty on occasion.
• Be able to lift and carry 50lbs.; push and pull 60 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned, of when the employee is capable of performing.
Requirements:
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language
• Ability to read and write to facilitate the communication process
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Considerable knowledge of complex mathematical calculations and computer accounting programs. Budgetary analysis capabilities required
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
• High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Several years experience in overall Food & Beverage operation, specifically a minimum of 3 years banquet experience and a minimum of 1 year of management experience.
• Bilingual or multilingual ability preferred.
• Great positive attitude
