You are to choose one of the following aspects of the 1920’s:
-Food -Music -Movies
-Fashion -Sports -Technology
If you have another topic that you would like to do, approach Ms. Hurley and she will approve it if it is appropriate for this assignment.
You will produce and share a “1920’s Culture Fair” to the class. You should use a display board to present your information. All of your information should be presented on the board but you may use additional media to supplement your information (e.g. if you want to show a video or music bring an iPod or laptop to present this).
Information that must be included on your display:
- Photos
- Description of the topic
- How it affects/isn’t relevant to Canadian society today
- A reflection on your thoughts on the topic
- A Canadian of the time who influenced your topic
- Bibliography
|Step 1 |Choose your topic |
|[pic] |You must chose a topic and report it to Ms. Hurley. The topics are on a first |

| |know as soon as possible. |
|Step 2 |Begin Research |
|[pic] |After you have chosen your topic and it has been approved you may begin your |
| |research. Remember to only use reliable sources (i.e. no wikepedia) and cite your|
| |sources. You may use pictures from Google, but make sure you have an |
| |understanding of what is going on in the picture. |
|Step 3 |Begin your Poster board |
| |Once you have completed all your research and have a considerable understanding |
| |on your topic you may begin your poster board. Remember all your information |
| |needs to be included on the board, not just pictures. |

| |board. |
|Step 4 |Preparing your presentation |
|[pic] |On Wednesday February 24th we will be hosting our culture fair. You will not only|
