A PRAYER OF SERVICE

COMMUNITY SERVICE IDEAS

A PRAYER OF SERVICE

O God of goodness,

Help us always to show kindness and generosity to everyone in need.

Give us the courage and strength to work on behalf of the rights of others.

Support us as we offer our love and friendship to strangers and work to unite all humankind.

Strengthen us to serve you by serving others in both times of peace and times of adversity.

Enable us to work for the freedom of those who have been deprived of their liberty and bring justice to those who are oppressed.

Keep us safe from harm and open our hearts to others to others so that we may always live in the presence of your love.

Guide us with your Spirit as we seek to share your mercy and work for your justice.

We ask this in the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.

Please note: It is not considered Community Service if you are helping out a family member … we expect you to be doing that. Community Service means just that, service to your community.
