The following are activities for the Parks and Recreation Department for June 18-August 12, 2012.

Aquatics

Summer Camps

City of Hallandale Beach Parks and Recreation Department will be offering Summer Camp to youth ages 6-18 from June 11 to August 17. Registration available at the Cultural Community Center from 10am-6pm Monday through Friday. Camp sites are as follows:

• Peter Bluesten Park – campers ages 6-12, $60 per week*

• OB Johnson Park** – campers ages 6-12 (residents only), $10 per week*

• Ingalls Park** – campers ages 13-18, $20 per week**

*Camp is held Monday thru Friday 9:00am-4:00pm, before care and after care are available for an additional fee. Additional fees for field trips (optional). Scholarships are available for Hallandale Beach Residents. For more information please call 954-457-1342.

**Registration is also available at OB Johnson Park.

Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:00am-9:00am

6:00pm-8:30pm Monday thru Friday. Activities include games, movies, video games, and

tournaments.

Teen Activities

• Teen Center Renovation

Teen Center room at Johnson Park will be closed during the summer for construction of the new

recording studio.

• Cultural Expressions Arts Program (CEAP) – partnership with PCAC

The City of Hallandale Beach has partnered with PCAC to offer a Cultural Expressions Arts Program. The goals of the program are to engage youth in career training that will increase their skills in music, sound production, video production, and or theatre and to maintain or improve the educational success of youth involved in the program. CEAP engages the youth in 12 week tracks throughout the year in the following disciplines: Theatre, Video Production, and Recording. The youth also take part in Life-skill classes regardless of the discipline they are involved in. The program is financed through grant funding and is free to Hallandale Beach Teens. Golden Isles Tennis Center

• Golden Isles Tennis Center Summer Camp

The Golden Isles Tennis Center will be offering a a full day Summer Camp Program. Activities include tennis instruction and field trips. Please call 954-457-1459 for more information.

The City of Hallandale Beach Celebrates America with a Family Fun Zone Beach Bash. Activities include a “Happy Birthday America” Party, DJ, clown, bounce house, children’s activities and craft area.

• Summer Celebration

August 17, 2012

OB Johnson Park

Join us for a summer celebration to get together before the new school year begins. There will be

plenty of fun, music, and entertainment for all.

• Celebrating National Park and Recreation Month

July is National Parks and Recreation Month, and Hallandale Beach is Wild about our Parks! July is the time to enjoy a Wild workout at the beach, get wet and Wild at the pool, or run Wild on your favorite park trail. Get out and GET WILD about Hallandale Beach parks! We have produced a month of Wild activity suggestions in our Parks and will have a Get Wild day on July 14th with Wild activities at every park!
