Greetings from Deacon Isaac and Shari Edie! Our love and prayers are with you! We are grateful for this opportunity to share with you regarding this

week's gospel reading. Probably many people have been blessed with being able to be present for the birth of their children. For

Shari and I, the birth of our children was also the birth of new possibilities: to love each other and this new life, and a new way in which to see the world. Today, the Gospel of John tells us, "God so loved the world, He gave His only son, so that no one who believes must perish." Just as the birth of a child brings with it a whole new potential for love, so does the gift of Jesus bring with it a whole new potential: potential to love others, potential to be loved by our Father in heaven. In this new possibility for love, we are called forth to share with others that they too have this call to love and be loved, to know God's love and his forgiveness. Just because someone has not believed in our heavenly Father, does not mean that belief in Him is not an option for them, and this is where our calling is as children of God. Every breath we take is a chance to not only know the love of God, but to share with others His love for them. When God gave us His only son, a new possibility was also presented: that moment by moment, we can come to live fully in His love.

We wish a Happy Father's Day to all dads, those present with us and those who have been embraced already by the arms of God. Peace and blessings to all, Deacon Isaac and Shari Edie

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process through which these and other faith issues are explored by those considering following the Catholic Christian way of life. If you or anyone in your family, neighborhood, workplace or school has been wondering about what it means to be Catholic, please accept this invitation to come and see! For more information, contact Catherine Shadduck at 482-6417 ext. 331 or catherineshadduck@.

Gospel reflection question for small faith sharing groups, families, and gatherings The Mystery of the Trinity - Father, Son, Holy Spirit If you were to encourage the members of your own family to live as a "community of love," which is how we define the Trinity, how would you advise them to live? Use St. Paul's list of exhortations in 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 as your starting point.
