The Community Contribution Scholarship is open to all High School students who have recognized a need or problem in their community and have determined a way to address the issue. 3 things we are looking for in the scholarship submission: The project is the student's original idea that addresses a specific and pressing need in the student's community A student who believes that change starts locally and is passionate about making that change happen A true leader who uses his/her unique talents to nurture the project



Scholarship is offered to qualifying candidate who exemplifies leadership and commitment to health and safety in the home. The scholarship is open high school students, undergraduate students, master degree students, and adult learners are all encouraged to apply (applicant must be 16 years of age or older).



In addition to submitting the Foundation Repair Scholarship Application Form (found online), applicants must submit a 300 word minimum essay on one of two topics:

1. About Abry Brothers Foundation Repair (Google is your friend) 2. About Foundation Repair (Importance, Warning Signs, Prevention, and etc.)

The scholarship is granted for the current school year, and the winners are eligible to apply for the following school years.

The Denver Youth Poet Laureate is a program of Minor Disturbance alongside Colorado Creative Industries, Youth on Record, Lighthouse Writers Workshop and in partnership with Urban Word, supported by PEN Center USA and the Academy of American Poets. The Denver Youth Poet Laureate program identifies young writers and leaders who are committed to civic and community engagement, poetry and performance, and leadership and education.

From January 20th-February 20th, Minor Disturbance will accept submissions from young poets, rappers, leaders and activists ages 14-20 from across the Denver area who are interested in representing the area as the inaugural Denver Youth Poet Laureate. A group of esteemed judges will select one young artist to be honored with the title of Denver Youth Poet Laureate. The top 5 Youth will perform at the inauguration ceremony which will be held on Saturday, March 20th at the Althea Center located at 1400 Williams St. in Denver.

Along with the prestigious title of Denver Youth Poet Laureate, the winning poet will receive a book deal from Penmanship Books and will be the recipient of the Russell J. Arkind Memorial Scholarship. The Denver Youth Poet Laureate will also be provided with numerous opportunities and platforms to share their powerful voice, civic leadership and love for Denver as they perform though out the Metro Area and State.

The Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 scholarships to extraordinary young people, 18 and under, who have completed a significant piece of work.

Application categories are Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Literature, Music, Philosophy and Outside the Box. Davidson Fellows are honored every year in Washington, D.C. with Congressional meetings and a special reception.

Must be a high school students in grade 9-12. The purpose is to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students. Other objectives of the contest include the development of leadership qualities, the ability to think and speak clearly and intelligently, and the preparation for acceptance of the duties and responsibilities, the rights and privileges of American citizenship. Applicant must be currently enrolled as a High School Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior (2019, 2018, 2017, or 2016); and, must be a United States citizen or eligible noncitizen. Relatives of the American College Foundation Staff are not eligible to apply.

Financial need is NOT considered; all income levels are encouraged to apply.

Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 each; with multiple winners to be selected. Each award is a non-renewable, onetime award and is to be used exclusively to offset costs and fees related directly to the student's first year of higher postsecondary education at an accredited institution of the student's choosing within the United States. In the event an underclassman is an award recipient, the monies will be held by the American College Foundation until the student completes high school and begins their higher education; at which time the awarded amount will be distributed.

The American College Foundation Scholarship Committee will determine, and has final say, on all award recipients. Selected recipients agree that their application and award information; including essay, picture, name, state, high school grade level, and award amount may be acknowledged on the American College Foundation website and associated materials.

Eligibility: 9th & 10th graders. Students must read "Anthem" and write an essay based on the book (see website for topic). Essay must be no fewer than 600 and no more than 1,200 words in length, double-spaced. Must submit essay online.

The Siemens Foundation established the Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology in 1999. The Competition is the nation's premier science research competition for high school students and seeks to promote excellence by encouraging students to undertake individual or team research projects. It fosters intensive research that improves students' understanding of the value of scientific study and informs their consideration of future careers in these disciplines. Scholarships for winning projects range from $1,000 to $100,000.



Competition is open to individuals and teams of up to three students in grades nine through 12. Students are encouraged to do research in mathematics, engineering, biological, or physical science.

To apply to YoungArts, artists must be:



US citizens or have permanent resident status. 15-18 years of age or in grades 10-12 on December 1, 2016.

To apply for the College JumpStart Scholarship you must meet

The purpose of this scholarship is to help students understand the negative effects of too much screen time. As part of the application, students will construct a 140-character message about technology addiction, and a 500-1,000 essay about technology addiction.

Established in 1947, our Voice of Democracy audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay. Each year, nearly 40,000 9-12 grade students from across the country enter to win their share of $2.1 million in educational scholarships and incentives awarded through the program.
