THE ABINGTON CLUB

Friday Night Kids Club Policies and Procedures

Effective September 1, 2017: Rates for Kids Club are as follows:

• $15 per single visit

• Packages purchased:

Abington Club Members Non Members

Daily: $15 $20

5 Pack: $60 $80

10 pack: $100 $150

Please call the front desk at 215-885-0734 ext 0 to RSVP every Friday night. Please call us by 5pm the night of Kids Club you are sending your child.

Kids Clubs Hours: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday nights.

Children will have swim time with a certified lifeguard(s) and participate in fun games and activities! Pizza (at 6:30pm) and drinks will be provided each week.

Have a night out at The Wet Whistle Bar & Grill!

For every $30.00 spent on food at The Wet Whistle, you will receive a FREE admission ticket for your next Kids Club visit (value $15)! Your Wet Whistle receipt must be presented to our Kids Club staff upon your child’s pick-up. Wet Whistle receipts must be redeemed the same night as your child is attending Kids Club. Remember this is for your total food purchased. (Does not include alcohol.)

General Rules:

o Our program is for ages 5 to 12. NO EXCEPTIONS.

o Children may not be signed in or dropped off before 6:00pm.

o Any child dropped off after 6:30pm will not be admitted into Kids Club.

o A fee of $5.00 every 5 minutes late will be assessed for parents who continually arrive after 9:00pm.

o Any schedule changes for holidays or special events will be posted and emailed 48 hours in advance.

o Kids Club is limited to no more than 30 children per Friday night.

o Parents must provide a swim vest if his/her child is unable to swim. THE ABINGTON CLUB WILL NOT PROVIDE A FLOATION DEVICE. Please let our staff know your child’s swimming level upon arrival.

RSVP Procedures:

Please RSVP by 5:00pm on the particular Friday night your child is attending. Please call the front desk at 215-885-0734 ext 0 to your reserve your spot today!

Drop-Off/Sign-In Procedures:

Your Kids Club admission is taking at our front desk upon arrival. We will take payment and give your child a bracelet upon payment. We ask you walk down your child to our Kids Club room and sign them in. Parents must sign his/her child in upon drop-off and pick-up. You must also provide a working telephone number or emergency contact where an adult can be reached during Kids Club hours. DO NOT send your child into the building without an adult signing them into our program downstairs in our Kids Club Room.

• Remember to tell our staff if your child has an allergy (epi-pen must be provided), swim level (floation device must be provided), and if someone else is picking up.

Kids Club Code of Conduct:

The following forms of behavior are considered unacceptable:

o Using language which is offensive, sexist or racist

o Fighting, bullying or any other forms of aggressive behavior

o Being in the locker rooms of the opposite sex

o Leaving Kids Club boundaries without permission

o Entering The Wet Whistle or purchasing food while at Kids Club

o Behaving in a manner which is potentially dangerous to self and/or others

o Damaging or vandalizing the property of others or The Abington Club

Kids Club has developed levels of appropriate responses. Any breach of Kids Club rules will result in disciplinary action. The staff will decide the appropriate level of action and notify you directly.

• No toy weapons or offensive materials are allowed at Kids Club.

• No electronics are permitted during Kids Club.

• Any personal items brought to Kids Club will be your child’s responsibility. The Abington Club will not be liable for lost, broken or stolen items.

Food Allergies:

Parents of children with food allergies must notify the Kid Club Staff immediately upon drop-off. We suggest that parents provide a snack and/or drink for children with food allergies. Please provide us with any medication (Epi-pens) needed to respond to an allegoric reaction. We make every attempt to offer snacks that do not contain allergens; however, we cannot guarantee that all food provided is allergy free.

Emotional or Support Services:

Parents who have children with special needs, 504 Plans, disabilities, and/or any special accommodations must notify our Kids Club Staff upon drop-off. We must be provided information about type of accommodation that must be made for each child. Note: The Abington Club may be limited as to how much support and accommodations can be made for Kids Club participants as our staff is not trained to address severe disabilities and/or complex medical conditions.

***After reading these policies and procedures, you must sign our Liability and Waiver Form. Your child WILL NOT be able to attend our Kids Club program without this form filled out.***
