Homework Policy:

➢ Math Homework will be given Monday through Friday. Everyone has a 100% homework grade at the beginning of each quarter. Your homework grade is counted as 10% of your Math quarterly average. Every missing homework assignment is a 5-point deduction from your Math homework grade.

➢ Science Homework will be given once a week. They are always graded and count as 10% of your Science quarterly average.

Organization and Participation:

I expect that you keep all materials given to you in class. Do not empty out your binder. I put a lot of effort into preparing materials that will assist you in being successful. Do not throw work on the floor! Do not expect that I will constantly give you duplicate copies of worksheets or notes. Be responsible and you will succeed! You must come to class prepared with your notebook, binder, homework, and a sharpened pencil. Each day you come to class unprepared a 5-point deduction will be made from your participation grade.

Absences:

If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to make up the work done in class. This includes participation in field trips and music lessons. I suggest you have a homework buddy in the class. If you are missing any worksheets, you must see me immediately. When legally absent, homework will be accepted for full credit. In most circumstances, all missed work/homework will be due the day after returning to class.

➢ If you will be absent for more than one day, please call the main office at 631-730-1626 and request your work be sent to the main office homework bin for pick up.
